I’m incredibly late writing this review as it’s been about a week since I’ve seen it but I was struggling to find the right words.
To put it plainly – the beauty and detail in this movie are awe inspiring! Director Guillermo del Toro sets the bar high for the many other films to be released in the near future. While Crimson Peak hasn’t received the attention and praise that I believe it deserves, it certainly has the makings of a cult classic for the few that enjoyed the film’s unique genre and exquisite visualization.
At the risk of sounding “old” – wtf is wrong with kids these days?! Though I suppose it isn’t exclusive to youths because so many of my own generation are guilty of the same thing. I’m referring to the ‘DGAF’ attitude that seems to be so abundant! It’s on tshirts, phone cases, tote bags, pillows, and painted across the faces of those who sport it.
Before I dive in too deep – let me just say that I understand where it comes from. I get it. You don’t care what others think so you can continue to be who you are and stay true to you without their judgement. “DGAF what they think” … but has it come too far?
